Ease your tension with the right tools!

I want to shed light on an interesting and fairly economical tool that can help ease some tension this season. The trigger point therapy roller, or grid roller, delivers trigger point therapy to tired and overworked muscles.

The soreness you get from exercise is from the tiny tears and trauma that result in your muscles post-workout. This is a positive outcome but usually translates into little stabs of pain you get when you press into a sore muscle. Over time, this leads to stiffness and soreness and can also result in a decreased range of motion, so your body becomes less mobile – not a good result.

Trigger point therapy rollers are made with little nodules in the foam that mimic human fingers, flat areas to mimic palms, and square bits to mimic knuckles – the idea being, you roll your body over it and experience a massaging effect.
